9 Months and counting.....

Hello everyone, I've never done one of these but I figure I might as well start... During the next 9 months maybe longer I am going to blog about our transition from military life to retirement.

Let me first start out about me telling you about my family... We are a home school family- both of my girls are taught by either my husband or by myself. We attend a Parent Partnership school here in Oak Harbor.. My girls are in the 7th and 4th grade... We are a very active family. My oldest daughter is on the swim team for Oak Harbor and my youngest daughter is in Girl Scouts... Then there is my husband who in 9 months will be retiring from the Navy...

I plan to update this blog when I get the chance to do so with new things that we discover during our transition or update it with stuff that we do as a family during the last 9 months here in Oak Harbor... There is so much to do and so little time for my husband to find a new job upon his retirement, packing up our house, getting the house ready for sell, and then moving to either Texas where my parents live or to the east coast for a new and exciting life over there.

So let the adventure begin.....
